General Information

What is Factoring?

Factoring improves a company’s working capital through the sale of its invoices to us. Maax will then collect the payment upon maturity from the paymaster.

What is Factoring (Pre-Sales)?

We assist to make payment directly to the client’s suppliers for delivery of goods to contract awarders (buyers).

What is the margin of finance for this service?

The margin of finance is up to 80%.

What if I have minor delinquencies in CTOS / CCRIS?

Applicants with minor delinquencies in CTOS / CCRIS will be considered on a case-to-case basis.

Is the facility shariah compliant?

Yes, we have obtained the Shariah Pronouncement for Islamic Factoring (Pre-Sales) Facility and Islamic Factoring Facility.

Do I need to provide collateral?

A Joint and Several Guarantee is required. Any offered collateral will be an added benefit in approving your application for the factoring facility.

Facility Application

What documents do I need to provide when applying?

  • Certified copy of Memorandum and Article of Association (for limited company), or Business Registration (for sole proprietorship/partnership).
  • Company profile, with attachments of the company’s directors and management personnel’s resume or CV.
  • Photocopy IC (front and back) of all company directors and shareholders.
  • Original copy of the contract/purchase order/ invoices.
  • A copy of the supplier’s quotation or pro forma invoice, and the relevant catalogue for the products contracted (if applicable).
  • Company’s audited accounts for the past three years.
  • Company’s bank statements for the past twelve months.
  • Copy of registration certificate with the Ministry of Finance (if applicable).
  • Copies of current and existing banking facilities (i.e. OD, term loans, LCTR, BG offer letters).

When can we factor the invoices?

You can factor the invoice upon following the criteria:

  • The work/service or progress work completed
  • Goods supplied and accepted
  • Progress invoice / milestone achieved
  • The claimed amount is accepted and approved by contract awarder
  • All other conditions fulfilled

When can I submit an invoice?

You may submit an invoice (that is not more than 30 days old) to Maax Factor after the delivery of goods (complete with the signed Delivery Order) / completion of service and the invoice issued to the customer.

Fund Disbursement

What happens after I receive the funds?

Once you receive the funds, you may utilise them as needed to support your business operations. Your customer will remit full payment on the due date either directly to Maax Factor’s or a Designated Bank Account.

How fast can we get the disbursement funds?

Once the onboarding process are settled, disbursements can be made to your bank account as soon as 3 days from the date of complete document submission.

What type of charges do I need to pay?

The following are the applicable charges:

  1. Factoring Charge based on the invoice value; and
  2. Discount Rate based on the disbursement sum calculated on daily rest basis.

ePerolehan Vendors

Who can apply for the service?

Registered vendors or suppliers on the ePerolehan system may apply for this service. You must also be a SSM registered business/company with majority shareholding by Malaysians.

What is the process?

Once you have invoiced your customer, you need to upload the signed Notice of Assignment in the ePerolehan system to notify that the contract has been factored. Maax Factor will then do the necessary verification and disburse the funds accordingly to your bank account.

Can I apply for this service if I am a new vendor or supplier on the ePerolehan system?

Yes, as long as you meet the eligibility criteria, you may apply for this service even if you are a new vendor or supplier on the ePerolehan system.

What is the eligibility period for the invoices I wish to finance through this service?

You can submit invoices that are not more than 30 days old.
